Desert Blooms

This must have been an unusual year for the desert blooms.  Or we just happened to hit it at the right time.  Whatever the reason, there were ALWAYS many, many people wandering into and photographing the fields of blooms in and around the park.
And for good reason.  They were beautiful.  Our trailer was tucked away in some of these fields on the BLM land.  In the morning, the blossoms were at their prettiest.  And I never got tired of the fragrance!

Whether we were driving around the park or out hiking in it, H kept himself busy with his camera.  We've posted the results in his Gallery.  I've attempted to identify the flowers;  but if anyone has more knowledge than me (which could be almost anybody) please feel free to identify them in the comments.

We'll leave you with a photo of yet another friend that was dining out behind our trailer.

One year we did a spring horseback tour of the AZ desert. Like you, I was so impressed with the beautiful blooms and that fact that some had an actual fragrance. So cool you two.
