We headed into Spokane after breakfast to spend the day with Candace. Since we've taken our business on the road with us, I had to work a couple of hours to get two loans submitted.
When I got done, we went to lunch at Twigs, which is a cool restaurant that has a great martini menu as well. But it was the middle of the day, so we didn't drink. We're such fuddy-duddies!!
I've always wanted to see the Green Bluff area just northeast of Spokane, so we headed out there to see what we could see. Turns out it's an area with lots of orchards and farms. Kind of like our wine country. They have a map of all the farms and what they have to offer, so we stopped at one that had peaches and actually picked a few. We didn't think we picked too many, but as it turns out, we had picked about 15 pounds. So we had enough to share with Candace and Brian, to give some to Mom and Dad with plenty to take camping as well. We stopped at another orchard to see what they had, but it was mostly just a gift store and cafe. So we all got smoothies and enjoyed the sun on their patio.

After that we went back to Candace's and had a great dinner, that Candace and I prepared, as we sat at their new dining room table. Brian was able to join us and it was a very nice time. For dessert, we had a Huckleberry Peach pie that we'd bought out at Green Bluff. Um-um Good!!Then Candace and I hung a few things on her walls and we all watched a game show called "Lingo".
By then it was time for Herb and I to head back to Oakesdale. This will be our last night here. Mom and Dad have been great sports to let us use them as our base camp.
What a fun day...
